Cittaslow Sonoma Valley

Have you heard the news?  Sonoma is the first designated Cittaslow, or “slow city,” in the United States!

We are joining a network of 129 cities across 29 nations that have been found to embody the philosophy of Cittaslow International, which expands on ideas from the International Slow Food Movement to include those involving quality of life,  economy, lifestyle, and sustainable methods.

Our Family Keeps Growing and Growing!

We are happy to announce the arrival of two brand new members of our fig family and send a big congratulations and lots of love to both sets of new parents!  Fred Johnson, Bartender at the girl & the fig, and wife Janeth welcomed Marcello Valentino in December, and Erica Wisner, Event Manager with the girl & the fig CATERS, and husband Chris welcome Noah Frances last month as well.  What perfect little gifts for the holiday season!

We are also sending a big congratulations to John Steving, server at ESTATE, and Christina Glenn who recently became engaged!  Best wishes from all of us at the girl & the fig!
